Hot lunches, shelter and thrift store in Jackson CountyMedford, OR
St. Vincent de Paul is the Rogue Valley District Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, serving poor and needy people across Jackson County since 1982. The council runs an emergency family shelter that provided 5,731 bed nights in 2025, serves hot lunches on weekdays, and supplies bagged groceries through its food pantry. A volunteer-run Urban Rest Stop offers showers and laundry for people experiencing homelessness.
The thrift store sells donated goods to the public and gives free clothing, household items and furniture to people in need through a voucher system. Counselors help with job training, utility bills and rental assistance, and volunteers make home visits in Ashland, Talent, Central Point and Medford. The main building is at 2424 N. Pacific Highway in Medford, and the council serves everyone who comes regardless of race, creed or religion.
