The story

Batson River Brewing & Distilling is a craft brewery and distillery with a full kitchen, and its flagship spot sits in downtown Kennebunk. The taproom pours eight taps of beers brewed in house, along with cocktails made from the company's own small-batch spirits. The menu is built around a scratch kitchen and draws on seasonal, local ingredients when possible.

The Kennebunk location does not take reservations, so plan on a walk-in visit. Wednesday happy hour runs all day, and Thursday through Sunday it runs from 4 to 5 PM. Private events and gift certificates are both available, and the company also runs locations in Portland, Biddeford and Wells.
