Ginger Bread House

Ginger Bread House provides childcare for infants and toddlers, preschoolers, 4K students and school-age children. Its McFarland Farwell center sits in the middle of town and serves preschool children ages 2 to 5 in a home-like setting, with a large outdoor playground shaded by trees. The program is play-based, designed to challenge children's physical and intellectual abilities, stimulate curiosity and encourage self-expression.

Families can enroll full-time, up to 10 hours a day, five days a week, or book daily care for fewer days. There is a non-refundable registration fee, a yearly supply fee and activity fees. Teachers keep parents updated daily on how a child is settling in, by phone, in person or in writing. The building uses a locked door system that opens by access code for families and staff. The center is on Farwell Street in McFarland.
