Software Development Alternatives, known as SDA, is an aerospace company that builds avionics data link communications and test equipment for aircraft. Its product line includes the Dlink+ ACARS and CPDLC unit, the ABE aircraft bus emulator for ARINC 429 and 717 testing, the SATS Python-based test automation system, and the NavLynx unit that is slated for later release. The company also works on DO-178C software and DO-254 hardware and operates an FAA, EASA and UK CAA approved repair station for Dlink+ units.

SDA serves aerospace companies, mostly through engineering support and repair intake handled by request. Repair work starts with an RMA and includes an upfront $2,000 analysis, with a four-week analysis and repair window. The engineering headquarters and repair station are both on the south side of Mayer, Arizona, in the Yavapai County area, and the company has been operating since 1997.
