Matthews Community Farmers' Market

Matthews Community Farmers' Market is a Saturday market on North Trade Street where local farmers and makers sell fresh produce, seasonal food and handmade goods. It has been running for 33 years and follows the seasons, with a main season from April to November and a shorter winter schedule from December through March. Rain or shine, the market keeps its Saturday morning schedule.

Shoppers who use SNAP/EBT can stop at the information table to buy market tokens, and the market adds matching tokens up to $50 per customer per market date. Leftover tokens don't expire. Parking is free on Trade Street, Charles Street and in a grassy lot behind the market off Cotton Gin Alley. Pets are not allowed. The market sits in historic downtown Matthews, next to Renfrow Hardware, and some vendors take pre-orders.
