Ranken Jordan

Ranken Jordan is a pediatric bridge hospital that cares for children and young adults from birth to 21 who are ready to leave a traditional hospital but still need medical services and support before going home. Its inpatient program focuses on complex conditions, illnesses and injuries, including spinal cord injury care, burn care, and tracheostomy and ventilator support. Outpatient services include therapy, feeding therapy, augmentative communication, a bowel training program and pediatric physiatry.

The approach, called Care Beyond the Bedside, encourages kids to spend much of their day out of their rooms in play, therapy and social activities, with a barrier-free outdoor sports field, a therapy pool, a rock-climbing wall and a teen room. The hospital is at 11365 Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and its facility is wheelchair accessible.
