The Whole Ox

The Whole Ox is an old-fashioned, full-service butcher shop that sells whole, local foods from neighboring farms. Its meats are raised ethically on pasture without added hormones or antibiotics. The shop also makes burgers and other prepared foods in house, and it offers an Ox Box membership that delivers a rotating selection of hand-cut meats each month, with optional wine pairings.

The shop is at 8357 West Main Street in Marshall, Virginia, with parking on Main Street and a few spaces behind the building. Orders can be placed online or by phone, and holiday orders need to be placed about a week ahead. Gift certificates are available, and the shop hosts wine tastings in the summer.
