Hackles and Hide k9 Academy

Hackles and Hide K9 Academy trains dogs with reactivity, aggression and obedience problems using positive reinforcement. Founder Mike Woodring started in animal rescue, later studied animal behavior, and works closely with dogs and their owners. Training looks at the underlying reasons for a behavior, such as fear, anxiety or frustration, rather than suppressing it.

Sessions build clear communication and gradual exposure to triggers, and owners learn how to handle everyday situations consistently. Ashley, a trainer with a degree in animal science, certifications in obedience training and veterinary technician experience, also works with the team on behavior modification.
