Village of Mantua

Buchert Park Lodge is the community center in the middle of Buchert Park in Mantua, a space for neighborhood gatherings, receptions, parties and meetings. The south half of the building serves as the community space, and the north half is home to American Legion Post 193. The lodge began as the Village Park Garage and was rebuilt in 1993 by the Legion and community volunteers, using mostly recycled materials.

The lodge seats 90 and has tables, chairs and kitchen facilities, with the park's playground and recreation equipment nearby and plenty of parking. To reserve it for a reception, wedding dance, birthday party, reunion or meeting, call Village Hall to check your date and make a reservation, then file a Park Facilities Rental Application, which lists rates and rules. In 2025 the building was renamed the Marty and Diane Hura Lodge, honoring the Huras' many years of service to Mantua.
