Southern comfort food served in a historic jail101 Main Street, Madison, AL

Main Street Cafe serves Southern comfort food and an ever-changing list of daily specials inside Madison's historic 3rd City Hall, built around 1955. The cafe is known for its lunch crowd and for its two historic jail cells, which remain from the building's days as city offices, where guests can eat. Dishes are built from fresh ingredients, and the kitchen also handles catering for events like Thanksgiving, Christmas and corporate luncheons.
Lunch is served Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. In the evenings, Monday through Saturday from 5pm to 10pm and all day Sunday, the space is available to rent for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and corporate events. The cafe is at 101 Main Street in downtown Madison, and it is owned and operated by Tammy and John Hall.
