Vizo's

Vizo's is an African bar and restaurant in Lubbock, billing itself as the first African bar and restaurant in West Texas. The menu centers on dishes like Suya grilled beef tips, Egusi soup served with fufu or eba, jollof rice, Zambezi grilled ribs and goat meat platters, along with shawarma, meat pies and plantain sides. The bar pours African beers and a list of classic cocktails.

The restaurant is at 3131 34th St and is owned and operated by two Texas Tech alumni. It hosts private events and offers catering. Several items are marked gluten free or vegetarian, and the vegetable samosas and Koki corn are vegan or vegetarian options. Reservations and online ordering are available through the website.
