Take Flight Counseling

Take Flight Counseling is a marriage and family therapy practice led by Amelia Ancell, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience. Her work focuses on adults and families who have experienced trauma, and she uses Internal Family Systems (IFS) and emotion-focused approaches, along with EMDR training. Sessions often include expressive art, meditation, and grounding practices early on.

Individual therapy is for adults 18 and older, and family therapy sessions are also offered. Sessions run 50 minutes at $150 each. Telemental health is available to Texas residents, which lets clients outside Lubbock meet from home. Bora, a retired German Shepherd who is in training to become a certified therapy dog, is part of some sessions. The office is on Slide Road in Lubbock.
