Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector

The Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector handles motor vehicle registration, titles and permits, along with property tax collections, venue tax and beer and liquor license matters. Limited Texas DPS services, including driver's license renewals, replacement licenses and identification cards, are offered at the Main and Slaton offices.

Full registration and title services are available at the Main and Slaton offices Monday through Friday, and DPS appointments can be scheduled by phone. Limited vehicle registration renewals are also handled at several partner stores in Lubbock and Idalou, where you bring your renewal notice and proof of liability insurance. The City Bank office closed permanently in February 2026.
