Nonprofits & charities in Louisville

Nonprofits and charities work on causes that matter to a community, such as helping people with basic needs, supporting libraries, funding health outreach, and speaking up for public issues. Many offer ways to give, from charitable grants and endowed funds to planned giving and corporate partnerships, and some host public events like free health fairs or charity galas. Before you donate or volunteer, ask what share of contributions goes directly to programs and whether the organization can explain its work in specific terms. Check whether a group is registered and read its most recent annual report if one is posted. If you plan to attend a gala or fair, reserve your spot early, since these events often fill up in Louisville, KY.
