Each tan is mixed to a custom shade based on skin type, hair color and the occasion, and the micro-shadowing technique is meant to define curves. The studio also sells its own tanning mousse, tanning water and gradual tanner for keeping the color at home.

Appointments can be booked online, and a first visit starts with a conversation with the technician about the shade you want, including any upcoming event. Rinse-off timing depends on the service: the express option can be rinsed off in as little as 2 to 5 hours, while the signature tan calls for waiting 8 hours before showering. The Los Angeles studio is on West 3rd Street, and the business also has a Scottsdale location at the Scottsdale Mall.
