The Optical Centre is a boutique optical practice in Longmont that combines comprehensive eye exams and eye disease care with a curated selection of designer and independent eyeglass frames. The practice checks for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts, and offers contact lens exams, pediatric and diabetic eye exams, and co-management for laser procedures.
The practice has been on Main Street in Longmont for more than 50 years and was family-owned before Dr. Jeff Berger, O.D. took over in 2018. Frames are chosen with one-on-one styling sessions, and free repairs and adjustments are offered on eyewear. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings, and is closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
