My Squirrel Guard

My Squirrel Guard sells and installs a wire mesh barrier and clip system that keeps squirrels, birds, raccoons, roof rats and other pests out from under residential solar panels. The kit includes 100 feet of PVC-coated galvanized steel wire and matching fasteners, and the company also handles the work for homeowners who prefer a professional install.

In New Jersey, installation starts at $12 per linear foot including materials, and the company says it also installs in several other states at slightly higher prices. Installation for a simple 20-panel rectangular array can take a couple of hours, while more complex layouts take longer. Customers can order online, and the owner, CK, handles questions by phone or email. The business is based in Livingston.
