Houser Refuse

Houser Refuse is a family-run trash and recycling hauler that has served Lincoln residents since 1976. Its residential service includes a 96-gallon trash receptacle with a lid and wheels, curbside pickup once a week, single-stream recycling collected on the same day as trash, and yard waste pickup with a seasonal schedule. Bulk items such as furniture and appliances need to be scheduled 24 to 48 hours ahead of the service day.

Customers should have everything at the curb by 6 a.m. on their service day or put it out the night before. Yard waste is separated from trash from April 1 through November 30, and grass and leaves must go in biodegradable paper bags. Owners Randy and Dana Houser, brothers, run the business from an office on SW 25th Street in Lincoln, and the office line is open weekdays during business hours. Customers who cannot reach the curb can call to arrange special pickup.
