Bread Boy

Bread Boy is a bakery built around artisan sourdough, with pastries and custom cakes made by hand and in-house. Founder Guigo Salles started baking as a teenager and trained in pastry and cake decorating at Leominster High School's CTEi culinary program before turning his attention to sourdough. The sourdough starter, nicknamed Gertie, came from a San Francisco family that has kept the culture for generations.

Bread Boy operates from 1039 Central Street in Leominster, with its first location in a former local café. Custom cakes can be ordered through the website, and regular hours are posted on the site, with the shop open Wednesday through Sunday mornings and closed Monday and Tuesday. Guigo's years as a flight attendant brought in ideas from European and Japanese bakeries, and many of the pastry recipes are inspired by people close to him.
