Soltek Solar and Electric

Soltek Solar and Electric is a Layton electrical and solar contractor run by owner Preston Fewkes, a master electrician. The company handles electrical work from new construction, remodels and additions, and basement finishes to panel upgrades, recessed and outdoor lighting, smart home devices and troubleshooting. It also designs, permits and installs solar systems, with home energy monitoring, energy storage and emergency backups.

Free in-home estimates and solar consultations are offered, so a homeowner can have an expert look at a project before committing. Office hours run Monday through Saturday, with Sundays closed. The shop is on Broadwing Drive in Layton, and the company says it wants its work to be the kind customers recommend to friends and neighbors.
