Behavior and Dog Training

Behavior and Dog Training is run by a canine behaviorist who works with dogs on basic obedience and behavior problems. Training is built on canine psychology rather than treats, prong collars or shock collars, with the aim of building a sound relationship between dog and owner. Sessions run one hour and can cover whatever the owner wants to work on. Services include basic and advanced obedience, which covers house training, the standard commands and issues like jumping, chewing and separation anxiety, and behavior modification for dogs that already know their commands but still have problems, often rescue dogs.

The trainer has worked with everything from small lap dogs to large working breeds, and testimonials mention owners also being trained alongside their dogs. The business is at 10561 Georgetown Road in Laurel, Delaware, and the trainer answers questions by phone or email before booking.
