About Country Heritage Winery

The story

Country Heritage Winery makes wines from seven grape varieties grown on a family farm in LaOtto, Indiana, just minutes from Fort Wayne. The lineup runs from sparkling rosé to bold dry reds, and Ice Age White and LaCrescent are among the bottles that have won state competition awards. Backroads Distilling, started in 2024 on the same land, makes small-batch spirits from grains grown on the farm.

Daily tastings and flights are poured at the LaOtto tasting room, and private tours let guests meet the winemaker or distiller and see the production spaces. Seasonal events and vineyard rides run through the year, and the wine club offers members exclusive releases. Table reservations can be booked, and gift cards are available.
