Penndel Towing & Recovery

Penndel Towing & Recovery handles light-duty towing for cars, pickups and vans, along with heavy towing and transport for tractors, trailers, buses and construction equipment. Its best-known work is underwater salvage, a specialty since 1947, using a dive crew to rig vehicles and equipment from quarries, rivers and retention ponds. The shop also does accident recovery up to 40 tons, rollover and winch-out work, and railcar re-railing with crane-equipped wreckers.

Dispatch answers around the clock every day of the year, and the family has run the shop from the same Lincoln Highway property for more than 75 years. The yard at 900 W. Lincoln Hwy holds a secure, fenced and camera-covered impound lot, with vehicles released during business hours or by arrangement. Customers can call to be picked up or stop by the shop, and the published fee schedule lists towing, daily storage, clean-up and oil dry charges.
