Stable Relationships

Stable Relationships is a counseling practice that uses horses as part of its mental health work. Its equine assisted psychotherapy starts with grooming, feeding and getting to know a horse, and later sessions may include riding. Talk therapy and bioenergetic analysis, which works through movement, alignment and breathing, are also offered. The work focuses on managing anxiety, depression, trauma and emotional injuries from relationships, along with healthy boundaries and clearer communication.

No horse experience is needed to start equine sessions. Appointments can be booked online, and telehealth is available for those who prefer it. The practice is open on weekdays and is located on Willow Road in Lakeside, California.
