Pick Up Propane

Pick Up Propane runs a propane tank exchange for barbecue cylinders. Customers buy clean, inspected, pre-filled tanks from local retailers who stock a storage cage on their property, so a full tank is available when the grill runs low. The company is the barbecue tank exchange operation of Kamps Propane, a family-owned business that has been in propane since 1969.

Tanks are ready for pick up seven days a week, and some retail locations are open 24 hours a day. The company also works with small store owners who want to sell propane without big upfront costs, handling the cage, stocking and sales training. Its main office is in Manteca, with locations in California and Nevada, and the phone line can be called for help with the exchange or emergencies.
