Parks, lake recreation and naturalist programs in Iowa County2550 G Ave., Ladora, IA

Iowa County Conservation manages the county's parks, recreation areas, forests and wildlife lands. Its largest site is Lake Iowa Park, built around an 83-acre lake with a campground, cabins, a nature center, a bird blind and trails. An 18-hole disc golf course winds around the lake, and an annual tournament is held there each spring.
Visitors have fished, camped, picnicked, hiked and swum at Lake Iowa Park since 1962, and the park also has an equestrian trail. Winter brings cross-country skiing, ice fishing and winter camping. Naturalist programs run through the year, and the nature center is open weekdays. Back country camping is available at Gunderson Wildlife Area. The park is open daily, and the conservation office is on G Avenue in Ladora.
