Il Gatto

Il Gatto serves Italian dinners built around the cooking of chef Antonio Orlando, who works with the Salisbury family to pair traditional recipes with modern techniques. The restaurant occupies the space of the former Cat and the Custard Cup, a La Habra spot dating back to 1979, and offers a modern dining room with beer, wine and cocktails.

Dinner runs Tuesday through Sunday, and the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Happy hour is offered Sunday through Thursday, with a late night version on Friday and Saturday. On Thursdays and the second Saturday of each month, a live jazz lounge takes over the bar and dining room. Il Gatto also hosts holiday parties and weekday luncheons for groups of 25 or more, and tables can be reserved online or by phone.
