Outer Banks Health Family Medicine in Kitty Hawk is a primary care practice for patients ages 12 and up. The team includes a family physician, family nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Visits cover routine check-ups, treatment for minor illness, care for chronic conditions, preventive care and wellness screenings, age-appropriate cancer screenings, sports and college physicals, pre-operative evaluations, and medication management.

The practice moved to its current location in 2019 and is part of ECU Health. Patients should bring an insurance card, photo ID and all medications, including over-the-counter products and supplements. Co-pays are due at the time of service, and patients are encouraged to enroll in MyChart for test results and messages. Specialist referrals are arranged when needed, and records requests require a written authorization and cannot be faxed.
