Definitive Brewing Company

Definitive Brewing Company brews New England IPAs, creative sours, crisp lagers, pastry stouts, real fruit seltzers and a kölsch. Its flagship brewery and tasting room is in a former scaffolding company on Industrial Way in Portland, across the street from Allagash, in the city's beer district.

The tasting room pours from more than 20 taps, and the current beer list is posted online. Weekday specials include $5 crowlers on Monday, Keep the Glass on Tuesday, bingo for a cause on Wednesday, trivia on Thursday and flight night on Friday, with happy hour Monday through Friday afternoons. The space hosts classes, workshops, art markets, dance parties and festivals, many of them all ages and family-friendly. Private events are booked by email, and there are outdoor patios. Beer delivery and merchandise are also available.
