Sensible Design

Sensible Design is a family-owned kitchen and bath showroom that handles design, cabinetry and remodeling work. The owners, Dawn and Dan Janus, have more than 25 years of experience in the design industry. The showroom carries Fabuwood semi-custom cabinets, which the business presents as a middle ground between affordability and customization, and it offers custom paint colors and a range of hardware options.

In-house designers work with clients on layout and budget, and the team can take a project from design through installation. Countertops are not installed in-house, but the business manages that process, including templating. Design meetings usually happen at the renovation site or wherever the client prefers, and the showroom is in Kingsville, Maryland, where samples are on display.
