The Arc of Mohave County

The Arc of Mohave County is a private, nonprofit organization that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, employment services, and day treatment programs. It was created in 1970 by parents who saw too few life options for adults with these disabilities in Mohave County, and it works toward greater independence, self-esteem and inclusion for each member. The group is licensed and funded primarily by the Arizona Department of Economic Security Division of Developmental Disabilities, and it also partners with The Arc of Arizona and The Arc of the United States.

The Arc serves over 45 individuals per year at its facility on Airway Avenue in Kingman. Families who want more information or a tour of the facility can call the office. The organization also runs a thrift store, and its proceeds help fund the work.
