M&D Trees

M&D Trees is a tree nursery on a 32-acre farm near Kingman, Arizona, growing fruit, nut, shade and Christmas trees acclimated to the high desert. Fruit trees include apples, peaches, plums and cherries, nut trees include almonds, pecans and walnuts, and the farm sells fresh-cut and potted Christmas trees during the holidays. Doug Englert, who has run the farm since 1996, also offers guidance on choosing, planting and caring for trees.

You can walk the farm, handpick a tree and get advice on soil, irrigation and pruning before you buy. Trees are grown from bare root in 15-gallon containers. The farm is in Kingman, in Mohave County, and families also visit during the Christmas season for hayrides and cutting their own tree.
