About Philadelphia Distilling

The story

Philadelphia Distilling makes gin, vodka, absinthe and amaro in small batches in a former metal company building on East Allen Street. The portfolio includes its Bluecoat gins, Penn 1681 Rye Vodka and The Bay Seasoned Vodka, and the distillery uses hand-hammered copper pot stills and wooden fermentation vessels from Philadelphia-area makers.

The Tasting Room overlooks the distillery and has a craft cocktail bar, a kitchen serving shareable plates, and a bottle shop. Reservations are encouraged and required for parties over 12, and semi-private dining covers groups of 12 to 25. Distillery tours include a tasting, and the King of Prussia Mall location operates as a retail store.
