Running Brook Farms

Running Brook Farms is a family-run garden center and farm stand in Killingworth, known for ornamental plants and vegetable and herb seedlings grown on the property in two greenhouses. Its herb and vegetable seedlings are certified organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers. The farm also makes its own soil and mulch from a tree-based operation, sells seasoned firewood, and offers landscaping and hydroseeding.

The garden center has a cafe serving coffee, tea and homemade lemonade, and staff can design custom patio pots and arrangements in the store. Firewood is available by the cord delivered or for pickup at the store. Landscaping crews take on residential and commercial work, including rain gardens and pollinator patches built with native plants. The family has run garden centers since 1970 and has been on Route 80 in Killingworth since 2004.
