Jefferson Ballet Theatre

Jefferson Ballet Theatre is a non-profit ballet company and school that has presented classical ballet since it was founded in August 1995. Its productions have included an annual version of The Nutcracker, original spring works such as The Little Mermaid and Hansel and Gretel, and gala events. Classes follow the Vagonova syllabus and the Cecchetti method of ballet training.

Students train alongside professional dancers, and the company brings internationally known teachers and choreographers in for master classes that are open to the community. Kenneth Beck and Kimberly Matulich-Beck have served as co-directors since founding director Myra Mier retired. The school is located in Kenner.
