AUSABLE BREWING CO.

Ausable Brewing Co. brews Belgian-style ales in a renovated 1880s barn on its own farm in Keeseville. The farm grows three varieties of hops along with a growing number of fruit trees and bushes, and some of those fruits find their way into the Belgian ales. The tap room pours the brewery's beers and hosts food trucks, live music and themed events such as a Pawloween dog costume party.

The tap room runs on seasonal hours with afternoon and evening openings Thursday through Sunday, so it is worth confirming before a visit. The brewery sits within walking distance of Ausable Chasm and about 3.5 miles west of the Port Kent-Burlington ferry, which runs June through September. It makes an easy day trip from the High Peaks region, Burlington, Albany and Montreal.
