Pampered Paws Cat & Dog Grooming Salon

Pampered Paws is a pet grooming salon that specializes in small dogs and cats, offering full grooming with breed-standard cuts or cuts to the owner's specifications. The salon was started in Waldo in 1989 and is individually owned by founder Cheryl Wyrick, who is now a Certified Canine Esthetician and offers hot oil treatments and a program of care for skin and coat needs.

Everyone works by appointment only, with no walk-ins, and new clients are asked to fill out paperwork ahead of their first visit. Grooms usually take a few hours rather than the whole day, and the salon calls owners when a pet is ready. Saturday appointments are available, and a 48-hour notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Payment is by cash or check only, as no credit or debit cards are accepted. The salon is at 7719 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri, and has private parking and a back yard for dogs that stay.
