Tom Carroll Scenery

Tom Carroll Scenery is a custom scenic and fabrication shop that builds props, sets and custom fixtures for theater, events, commercial displays and fine art. The shop has worked on Broadway shows, including library furniture for The Music Man, and has built pieces for the Kennedy Center, Rockefeller Center and fine art installations for museums such as MOMA and the DIA Beacon. Work is done in wood, steel, aluminum and foam, with a CNC machine for cutting parts from digital files.

Clients work with the shop from idea to finished piece, including designers, independent artists and first-time theater makers. The shop is at 25 Pollock Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey, and it was founded in 1978 in a garage in Manhattan before moving to its current 20,000 square foot production space in 2002.
