Jamestown Golf Course

Jamestown Golf Course is a historic public nine-hole course set on about 74 acres on Conanicut Island, open to golfers of every skill level since 1901. The course is known for its open, wind-blown layout, well-kept greens and views of the bridges across Narragansett Bay. Rhode Island's Providence Journal readers have named it the state's best nine-hole course.

There are no tee times. Play is first come, first served, so arrive early and check in with the starter when you get there. Leagues and tournaments often take the course, so check the schedule before heading over. The Caddy Shack on site serves burgers, sandwiches and drinks, and dogs are welcome on the patio if leashed. The course is at 245 Conanicus Avenue in Jamestown, just minutes from Newport.
