Altiplano Reserve

Altiplano Reserve is a small coffee roaster that works exclusively with Guatemalan coffee and cacao. Beans are roasted in small batches each week, and the lineup includes single-origin coffees from named farms and regions, along with stone ground cacao and cacao tablets. The roaster also sells ceramic mugs and espresso cups made in San Antonio Palopó.

Coffee can be bought online for shipping or picked up at Cafe Fuel, 133 W. Michigan Ave., and at Five Forks Bakery on North West Avenue. Some lots are sold as limited releases, and pre-orders are taken when a coffee is sold out. The business was founded by Jennifer Nemecek after many years living and working in Guatemala.
