UC Irvine Health Affairs is the academic health system that brings together the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences and UCI Health. The college includes schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and population and public health, plus the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute and several research centers. UCI Health is a regional health system with more than 1,460 licensed beds, and the whole system ties research, teaching and patient care together.
Patients are served through UCI Health, while the college trains students across its schools and runs research programs. The Health Sciences Complex is on the UC Irvine campus in Irvine. The system reports more than 17,000 faculty and staff across the college, its institutes and UCI Health.
