Upwire Electric

Upwire Electric is a residential and light commercial electrical contractor serving homes and small businesses. The company is known for panel upgrades from 100 to 200-plus amps, EV charger installations, and portable and standby generator wiring. Its work also includes dedicated circuits for space heaters and energy-heavy appliances, recessed and outdoor lighting, and replacing old knob-and-tube wiring in older homes.

Trucks are stocked to handle most repairs and installations on the first visit, and emergency calls are answered around the clock. Pricing is agreed upfront, and the company says the quoted price holds even if a job runs longer than expected. Work carries a one-year warranty. Upwire is based in Ipswich and serves the North Shore, including Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex and Newburyport.
