Source Solar

Source Solar installs residential solar panel systems and designs custom solar packages for homeowners who want to produce and store their own electricity. The company says it works directly with manufacturers and ships its equipment straight to the customer, which it credits for competitive pricing. Its website also points to the federal 30% income tax credit on solar projects, with a disclaimer that not every customer qualifies.

The company has more than 10 years of experience and lists 500 installations. Customers can request a free estimate by phone or through an online form that asks about their electric bill, roof sun exposure, roof age and how they would pay. Source Solar's office is at 115 Southgate Ave in Iowa City, and the site lists service areas in Iowa and Illinois.
