IOWA VALLEY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

The Iowa City ReStore is a 10,000-square-foot store selling new and gently used building materials and home goods, from paint, nails and rugs to cabinets, appliances and furniture. Its inventory changes constantly, so shoppers often find something unexpected. Anyone can buy items regardless of income, and proceeds support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity's work building and repairing affordable homes.

The store accepts donations of household items and building materials, which can be dropped off on the south side of the building or picked up for free through a request form. Donations are tax-deductible, and the store runs on volunteers who are welcome to join with no prior skill needed. Cars can also be donated through its Cars for Homes program. The ReStore is located at 2401 Scott Boulevard SE in Iowa City.
