ICOR Boxing

ICOR Boxing is a boxing club that teaches boxing and related disciplines to adults and children, from people who want a fitness workout to members preparing to compete. The club calls itself Iowa City's longest operating USA Boxing registered amateur boxing club, and its competition team has won many state, regional, national, and international championships. Classes focus on technique, including offense, defense, and footwork, rather than high-energy bag work alone.

Classes are offered for all levels, including youth boxing for ages 5-7 and 7-12, adaptive boxing, and Rock Steady Boxing and Silver Foxes programs. The gym is located behind the Arby's in the Highway 1 West Gateway Plaza on South Riverside Drive, across from the Iowa City Community School District Nutrition Services building. Owner and head coach Clif Johnson leads the club.
