Garcia Painting

Garcia Painting is a residential painting company serving the Iowa City area, with interior and exterior painting, power washing and deck staining. Jesus Garcia started painting in 2008 and launched the business in 2019 after working in new construction, commercial, light industrial and residential repainting. Prep work, including drywall and water damage repair, is part of many projects, and the company works with Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore or Cabot stain.

Estimates are scheduled online or by phone, with a walkthrough before work starts. Homeowners don't need to be home during the job, since updates come by text or email. For color, the crew can paint five sample swatches on the walls, connect you with a color consultant, or match a color you've already chosen. A 20% deposit is due at scheduling, with the balance paid on completion by check, cash or card with a 3.6% fee. The company uses its own crew rather than subcontractors.
