Red Racks Thrift Stores

Red Racks Thrift Stores is a nonprofit thrift chain owned and operated by Disabled American Veterans, with stores in Kansas City, Blue Springs, Independence, Lee's Summit, Springfield, Joplin and St. Joseph. Shelves carry clothing, housewares and furniture that rotate weekly, and every purchase funds DAV programs for veterans and their families, including rides to VA medical appointments, benefits help and counseling.

Donations can be dropped off at any store without an appointment, or scheduled for a free pickup where the team hauls away furniture, bags and garage clutter. Donation bins across the Kansas City area are open around the clock and suit a bag or two of clothing or housewares. The Independence store on South Route 291 Highway is open until 9 PM on weekdays and Saturdays and until 8 PM on Sundays.
