Huxley Communications

Huxley Communications is a member-owned cooperative that provides fiber-optic internet, cable TV and phone service. It has served the Ballard and North Polk communities for more than a century, starting as local telephone service in the early 1900s, and connects more than 3,000 members across Alleman, Ankeny, Huxley, Slater and nearby areas. Residential plans cover everyday browsing, gaming and remote work, and business plans are built for multiple users.

Tech support runs around the clock, and a managed Wi-Fi add-on includes professional installation and an app for controlling the network. Support lines are staffed from 8 AM to 4:30 PM with after-hours calls answered overnight. The company headquarters is at 400 South Main Avenue in Huxley, where it also rents out an event room for meetings and gatherings.
