Texas State Optical

Texas State Optical is a Texas eye care organization with doctors of optometry, eye exams, and a large selection of competitively priced eyewear fitted by trained opticians. It was founded in 1936 in Beaumont, when the Rogers family opened its first office, and it now runs offices across the state. Eyeglasses and contact lenses are a core part of the business alongside eye exams.

The group says it is the largest single provider for vision benefit plans in Texas, so a nearby doctor may already be on your plan. It also offers a special enrollment plan that saves on exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses. The network office is in Houston, and several offices are in the Houston area, including Sharpstown, Briargrove and Baybrook.
