River Dell Weddings & Events

River Dell is a country event venue on the Kalamazoo River, surrounded by cropland and woods, that hosts weddings along with reunions, open houses, bridal showers and company parties. The big red barn seats 150 for weddings with theater-style seating and ceiling fans, and an outdoor clearing in the woods has a log-gazebo bar and a brick dance floor. Couples can also use the riverbank, wooded trails and a rustic grain bin for photos.

Wedding packages run as complete weekends with two nights at Verna House, a four-bedroom farm house that sleeps seven, or as Saturday-only bookings with or without lodging. Each package includes tables, chairs, linens, a horse trailer bar and two River Dell staff during the event. Weekend-long rentals include a rehearsal dinner option, and the venue draws guests from Battle Creek and Jackson. Reserve through the website or by phone, and expect a non-refundable deposit to hold your date. The property has a grass parking lot, a smoke-free barn and a rule that outside alcohol requires a licensed bartender.
